Google and Youtube can be very valuable sources of information if you know how to search properly, but if you want real scholarly peer-reviewed knowledge, you need access.

Access may be through your university, government, or organisation, but you will not gain enough information to make much of a solid argument on any of your knowledge claims without access.

So, how to identify and cope with google brains:

  1. Ask questions.

Get your google brain friend to give concrete examples and to use that information in more ways than one, you’ll hear repetitive stories because they did not, and could not, dig deeper.

2. Critique them.

Google brain people can not handle critique, they will turn it into criticism, a person with a real inquisitive mind will actually enjoy the process.

3. Suggest alternatives.

Alternative ideas are not options for google brains, they’re black and white thinkers because they have not trained their brains to think outside the square.

Have fun, get access!
