Narcissistic abuse forms trauma bonds and breaks social bonds for both the narcissist and the people they choose to victimize, use as flying monkeys, or scapegoat.
The blame and shame game is the narcissist’s way of avoiding taking responsibility for their behaviour. DARVO or deny, attack, and reverse victim order is the first sign you are dealing with a narcissist!
We all fall victim to defence mechanisms that prevent us from having to take responsibility, but in time most of us can identify our own contribution to harmful situations and gain strength from growing out of such patterns.
Narcissists are stuck in a cycle of shame that prevents them from growth and progress.
