Most people seeking a psychological diagnosis are referred, and even when they are able to access a psychologist directly without much of a wait, they’re almost always for genuine reasons.
Psychologists spend years training in multiple disciplines expanding the scope of math, science, English, politics, culture, evolution, neuropathy, Artificial intelligence, biology, genetics, philosophy, numerous clinical assessment approaches and interventions, just to name a few.
