I felt like the denial and lack of remorse hit me harder than any of the physical and emotional abuse, that realization that they’re never going to try to change is the kicker. I was positive he’d try for the kids. Instead, he seemed to enjoy the drama of getting attention from lawyers and social workers, he lied freely to everyone knowing he was caught anyway, just didn’t care, as if it was some game and when they were done with him, he could just keep harassing us, so he did. Our sympathy for their mental health has to go when our own mental health is at stake, noticing it beforehand would help though. I notice too you have a Masters in Forensic Psychology, I’ve seen a lot of cluster b personality disorders drawn to people with psychological backgrounds. Anyway, thank you for reading and responding:):)
