What Happens To Earnings When You Hit Publish Too Soon?
Don’t delete! What if you don’t get paid?
This title is a question because I have not yet had the nerve to delete something I’ve published while it is earning money, no matter how minute the amount may seem to others, in NZD’s it is doubled and noticeable when it’s your main income!
It isn’t always a rookie mistake, but advancing years has had me playing rookie in all sorts of places. I have written stories that seem half written, but the point has been made, and I left it at that, or there was some humour and purpose in its abrupt ending.
I don’t write that often, Medium doesn’t pay its members as well as it once did, and you’re definitely better off going with vocal if you’re willing and able to keep up the subscription.
Celebrities and narcissism are not my favourite topics, I do not care much for pathologizing or glorifying, but people are mostly shallow and algorithms keep a lot of us that way, so it pays well.
