Yes, I don't understand where the idea that people with autism lack empathy comes from. I think as other comments have mentioned its looking at it too simplistically again, surmising from difficulties in facial cues, the need to get away sometimes because of sensory sensitivity, and barely understood biological connections. In my experience people with autism are extremely empathetic to the point that they tend to self-blame when things go wrong, which both makes them very far from narcissistic. Do you follow Devon Price here? Or, the nurse with autism on Instagram? I love reading their stuff on living with autism. Thank you for responding.
