You're so right, until society catches up, we can only hope we do the best we can with the children, trying to stay steps ahead of the narcissistic parent because they will undo it all! I love that term, damage limitation. I agree therapy and lots of positive teachings and reinforcement is the best bet. I'm lucky mine are very young and have protection from him, though he turns up unannounced when he runs out of supply, and has threatened he will continue the abuse once they're old enough. I have the utmost respect for parents like you still having to co-parent with them<3
